Betsy Jacaruso grew up in Rhinebeck NY. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors in 1979 from the Pratt Institute of Art and Design in Brooklyn. She is active in promoting the arts in her community and has been painting and teaching in her studio and gallery at the Chocolate Factory in Red Hook since 2000. 

Betsy has a passion for painting landscapes and has traveled, painted and taught watercolor throughout the Hudson Valley, Burgundy and Tuscany and her students find her mastery of the medium invaluable in the process of learning to handle the complexities of watercolor.
